With profit margins diminishing, keeping a businesses operating profitably is tricky in today’s market. If you are currently renting Minneapolis office space, switching to virtual office solutions or shared executive suites can save you thousands of dollars a month. Virtual offices are a great choice for many types of companies offering business services, such as marketing, real estate, legal. Virtual Offices

Virtual offices are a great choice for many types of companies offering business services, such as marketing, real estate, architects, and lawyers. These companies can do most work at a home office or meet with customers offsite, and have occasional client meetings and presentations.

How Virtual Offices Work
•    You can select your services. This may include conference room use, phone call answering and forwarding service, and occasional use of onsite offices.
•    State-of-the-art Internet and telecommunications are usually provided onsite. This means you won’t have expensive installation costs.
•    You have a business address in a prime location, rather than a home address or a PO Box.  Instantly, this gives you credibility. Having a business address also boosts your image online and makes it easier for potential customers to find online, through Google Maps and other services.

Shared Executive Suites
You can also keep costs down by renting shared executive suites. This allows you to have your own, pre-furnished office space. You also have access to shared conference rooms, kitchen, a professional lobby, and other services.

How Shared Executive Suites Work
•    You will have professional receptionist and phone answering services at a fraction of the price of hiring someone.
•    Pre-furnished offices make it easy to move in and get started in your business.
•    State-of-the-art telecommunications, Internet and related services are already installed in your new Minneapolis office space.

Tech-Savvy Tips for Cutting Business Costs

Posted by News Desk on 5th May 2011

Do business costs keep you from launching your own business? The costs of running a small business in Minneapolis can seriously cut into your cash flow, if you do it the traditional way. However, America has always been the land of opportunity. New business methods of can make it more affordable. Here are 3 tips for cutting business costs.

1.  Use virtual office space. If your business permits, get rid of your regular office space and rent a virtual office. Minneapolis office space is pricey, and many business owners prefer to do much of their work at home anyway. A virtual office gives you a local business address (important for Google Maps listings, and keeping your home address private), professional phone answering and call forwarding services, and the available of several meeting rooms.

2.  Use online conferencing services. Many client meetings can be performed effectively via online tools like Microsoft Office Live Meeting and similar services. This saves you travel costs as well as travel time.

3.  Use Internet phone service. VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone service is much cheaper than traditional phone service, particularly for international phone calls. It is also more portable than an office line (you can call from your laptop at any location).

Computer repair May Only Be Worth It If The Computer Is Relatively New

Posted by News Desk on 17th September 2010

One of the most frustrating things is to have your computer go down on you. We have become very reliant on them and when they go down we are lost and get behind in a hurry. Getting your computer repaired can be as simple as searching the internet for a repair company. For example, search for computer repair in Los Angeles and you should get the places and companies that do repair on computers.

It is hard to know if you are getting your money’s worth or not if you have never had your computer go down. However, it is important to find someone that you can trust and let them take care of you and your computer.

Computers can be very frustrating, but non e of us are so frustrated that we would never go back to life without a computer. We rely on the things that they can do for us. They use to be mostly for play, but now they are a critical part of our business success. We use them for work, school, research and many other things.

When looking at computer repair in Los Angeles, it is important that we consider the increased pricing in the market there. It is not fair to compare California pricing to that of the rest of the country.  Another factor to consider is that of the age of the computer. The older the computer the more likely the repairs will be major. At that point, it may be smarter to buy a new computer rather than repair the old one.

The Importance of Tech Support

Posted by News Desk on 2nd June 2010

A few years ago I worked as an office manager at a local mortgage company.  It wasn’t a terrible job, but because I wasn’t a manager, loan officer, processor, or underwriter, I came at the bottom of the totem pole when it came to computers.  The computer I worked on was using software that had been outdated for years.  The same was true for most of the hardware, except of course the most visual parts of the computer.  The monitor was a new flat LCD screen model.  My keyboard and mouse were both brand new and wireless.  The company wanted my computer to look good for customers that walked into the lobby, but they weren’t too concerned about how well the thing actually worked.  The outdated tower was hidden discreetly behind the desk.  Needless to say, the number of our company IT guy was the one I dialed the most.  If the computer wasn’t crashing or freezing, it was causing any number of other problems.  I came to rely on tech support in order to do my job.

Fortunately most people don’t have to deal with the aged machine I had.  But even with new computers, problems can arise.  Like I discovered, a good tech support technician is a lifesaver.  If you are a Mac user looking for NYC Mac support, try MACximize Consulting.  Most likely you rely on your computer in order to get your work done every day.  Even a small problem can set you back hours.  Having a great tech support technician is invaluable.

Conveniences That Are For Everyone

Posted by News Desk on 31st March 2010

If you are like most Americans you have come to rely heavily on your keyless entry system. Having a car key remote that locks or unlocks the doors and pops the truck open is a convenience that has been available to many automobile owners for a number of years. Where once the luxury of a remote key fob was reserved for the high end sedans and sports cars imports that were beyond the reach of the masses, but with the shared technologies and safety features that are widespread across the automotive industry, just about every make and model of car, truck, SUV, and minivan on the road has the dealer equipped functionality of car key fobs that attach to a ring with the keys that are also specifically programmed with a microchip to start the engine and open a secured car.

As the availability of keyless entry systems has become an almost standard feature of new vehicles there are still differences that can be seen between the luxury cars that separate the classes. Using a all-in-one remote with an retractable key that can be folded into the fob for convenience Saab, Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus have all produced a single unit key and security device that slips into a pocket or purse safely and securely when it is not sitting in the ignition.  However, unlike the more common keyless remotes that can be easily replaced and programmed for a few dollars the luxury automakers charge anywhere from $500 to $800 for a single car key replacement that is designed as a prestigious accessory as much as it is a practical way to unlock and start a vehicle.

Barbecue like the Pros

Posted by News Desk on 30th March 2010

As an avid Food Network fan, I find myself watching an awful lot of food competition shows in which the very best chefs in the country, and sometimes even beyond, come together to face off hoping to prove that they are the undisputed master of cake decorating, hamburger building, barbecuing, and any number of other cooking specialties.

It always amazes me how seriously these competing chefs take their personal culinary techniques. Some of them come up with pretty unusual methods of preparing traditional foods; one episode of Ultimate BBQ Sweepstakes featured two chefs actually having a yelling match over the fact that one chef had “stolen” the other’s idea of grilling barbecued chicken in muffin tins to maximize marinating. Or something like that.

Regardless of the idiosyncrasies of these grass-roots chefs and their proven best-ever recipes, I’ve noticed a common theme that the serious barbecue chefs seem to agree on; and that is cooking on a Louisiana grill. I didn’t know what a Louisiana grill was before I started watching the show, but apparently the barbecue gods inspired the people of Louisiana to design the ultimate barbecue grill because they all have them.

Louisiana grills are massive beasts called “whole hogs,” obviously named for what they were meant to cook. The heat source is provided by burning wood chips, with a variety of woods to choose from to enhance the flavor of the meat and anything else thrown on the grill. The design of the domed hood ensures a perfectly smoked effect, which is probably the real secret to these grills.

I don’t plan to ever enter one of these Food Network barbecue throwdowns–frankly I don’t think I could take the pressure—but if I had one of those Louisiana grills I’m pretty confident I could grill like the pros too. Imagine the backyard parties!

The Wine Country of Napa Valley

Posted by News Desk on 29th December 2009

The Napa valley of California is one of the most beautiful areas of the United States.  It is famous worldwide for its vineyards and wine production.  Napa’s first commercial winery was established in 1858, and since that time, has grown to include hundreds of wineries and vineyards.  As one of the top wine producing areas in the United States and even the world, it is a popular destination for wine appreciators and aficionados.  Napa Wine tours are a popular tourist activity in this region.

A wine tour is more than just wine tasting.  In most Napa wine tours, a tourist is taken to a winery where they are given a complete tour of the vineyard.  An experienced tour guide will show tourists the grapes and give a history on the type of grape and why it was chosen.  They will also describe how they are grown and harvested.  A tourist on a wine tour will also get to see the facilities where the wine is made.  And of course, no wine tour would be complete with wine sampling.  On many tours, tourists may get to taste new varieties that wine makers are experimenting with.  Most likely the tour will cover several wineries and a tourist will get the opportunity to experience the differences.  Because a wine tour is just that, a tour, you will be traveling around.  A great wine tour will make sure you travel in style in a town car or limousine.

Napa valley is one of America’s treasures.  A trip to the area is not complete without experiencing the region’s finest resource.
