Several years ago I had lived away from home for a couple of years and had not been home in that time. When I left I commented on how I knew the town that I lived in by how bumpy the roads were. I was picked up at the airport by my family and when we were driving home I commented as soon as we drove into our town that I knew that I was home. I could tell by the bumpy roads and I commented that things had not changed. Every one of us has certain things that we know our town by. What are those things that you know your town by? If you live in Toronto what things stand out to you about your area? Is it the shops that you love to go to? Maybe you love how it is always on the cutting edge of fashions. For others it might be the food. There are many different fancy foods that you can enjoy when you visit Toronto or live there. Besides the foods there are all of the different wines that you can enjoy. You can find different winery’s that you can visit. These are all of the nice and fancy things that you might think about, but what makes your town really unique? Is it the landscaping in Toronto? Maybe you have noticed that there is always paving in Toronto or that the roads are always nice, but there doesn’t seem to be much construction going on. For each person it is unique and different in what makes their town stand out to them. Think about where you live. What stands out to you?
