Several years ago, during my time in high school, I had a classmate who was always at the top of the class. She aced all of her tests and always knew the right answers to any question a teacher might ask. She was an honors student, took part in several after school clubs, took several AP classes, and always seemed to have everything put together. I admired her intellect and work ethic. Over the years I began to notice that although she talked about her mother, it was always her father that I saw at school events. He was the one to pick her up from school, drop her off, or to come to school functions to support the kids. I later found out that my friend’s mother had a neurological disorder that kept her confined to a wheelchair and confined to the home most of the time. Part of the reason my friend worked so hard in school is that she wanted to get into a top university so that someday she could become a neurologist. She wanted to learn how to find effective treatments of even a cure for the disease that was afflicting her mother.
Neurology is a medical specialty dealing with disorders of the nervous system. A neurologist is a medical professional that specializes in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders. If you are a resident of Illinois with a loved one suffering from a neurological disorder then the staff at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center can help. The medical professionals at St. Josephs can provide the source you need for neurology in Bloomington, Il.

Growing up in Rhode Island I learned a lot about major industry as my dad was a business man. My father was always talking about business and wanted my brothers and I to always help with the family business. It was definitely fun for my brothers and my dad, but not so much for me.
I preferred spending time at the Providence RI salon and spa with my mom and her girlfriends. I enjoyed being pampered and I definitely enjoyed being treated like a princess. We would spend every Saturday morning getting our hair done or getting our nails done.
This time was a lot more than just pampering time it was a time to catch up with my mom about life and escape from all the business talk that was going on in our household, which could get overwhelming. It was also a great time for me to bond with my mother.
After many years of this same routine I decided that I wanted to open a Providence RI salon. Once I graduated from school with the help of my father and his business expertise we started one of the premier hair salons in Rhode Island.
Over time this business has boomed and as each day goes on it is something that I become more and more passionate about.

As I get older and older I begin to love my hair salon in Cincinnati more and more. It has started to actually grow on me quite a bit and I find that every time I go to my hair salon and stylist I like it more and more. You see several years ago I moved to Cincinnati and I was a little bit nervous about finding a good hair salon. I had been going to my last hair salon for over 15 years and let’s just say I was a little scared that I wasn’t going to be able to find somewhere as good.
I had also developed a great relationship with my stylist and the owner of my old hair salon. Well it has only been a few years and I can honestly say that my new hair salon in Cincinnati is amazing. The woman that cuts my hair is absolutely great and we have become really good friends. Our husbands actually go bowling together now.
So if you are moving to a new area I know what it is like. You have a lot to worry about already with a new home, new job and new schools for your kids. The last thing you should worry about is your hair salon. Trust me from woman to woman you will find a great place. Simply take your time and follow your instincts.

Back in the late 1950s the California coastline was covered with tail lights and fins of the cars that would cruise the highway with the top down looking for a chance to race. The hot rods of the era consisted of custom built jalopies that were ramped up versions of street machines that became the parents of the American muscle cars of the late 60s and early 70s. Around the same time that cruising became popular with the teens and twenty somethings, another icon of Americana was created—the drive up diner. With car side service that put gals on roller skates, serving food, the neon illuminated pit stops provided an atmosphere where people could enjoy a classic hamburger, fries, and shake while sitting in their car and checking out the competition that rolled in to see what was shakin.
As a true original of the hot rod circuit the town of Downey became a popular place to pull over and meet fellow street racing enthusiasts. Located 13 miles southeast of Los Angeles the restaurants of Downey drew in a crowd that used the social hub to practice their cruising along the main drag and pick up girls that frequented the diners and burger joints. In its hay day the town attracted people from all of the country that came out to LA in search of fame and fortune as well as vacationers and surfers that sought out the California beach scene. Today the appeal of the original broilers that made the hamburger an American classic still bring tens of thousands of people to the hot spot that has been the backdrop for filmmakers and historians of the 50s pop culture era.

If you live in Arizona you know that it can get insanely warm in the summer months and having temperatures over 100 degrees is common place. In fact it is rarity if the temperature goes below that anytime during the summer. However, if you have never been to Arizona don’t groan just yet as the heat there is quite different than your average hot temperatures elsewhere.
What makes it so different?
Well the temperature might be high but the humidity is super low. It is nothing like what you would experience in say Tennessee where it is very humid. So humid in fact that just standing outside in the summer time can cause you to sweat.
Recently I was visiting a friend in Phoenix, Arizona and we were having an absolute ball. She was showing me all around town and then one day here air conditioning went out. Not only did it go out, but we had to wait two days for the Phoenix cooling and heating company to come out and fix it.
I honestly didn’t think I was going to make it. It was incredibly hot. However, we made it through and all in all it was a great trip. If you ever go to Phoenix make sure you stay somewhere with air conditioning.

Recently I was on vacation in Santa Monica visiting some friends and family. While we were there we did a lot of sightseeing and had an absolute blast. My sister has lived there for more than 10 years now and this was only the fifth time that I had been out to visit.
We spent a lot of time down on Santa Monica pier and let me tell you that if you have never been to that area that is something that you need to definitely experience. It is one of the hottest destinations for anyone visiting the Santa Monica area.
Another one of my favorite things to do in Santa Monica is visit the different art and history museums in the area. There are a lot of great museums to visit and a lot history and culture that you can appreciate. So if you like to visit museums you definitely need to check out these exhibits.
While I was there I really need to get my hair styled and cut. I wanted to wait til I was able to go back and see my hair stylist, but I heard a lot of great things about the Santa Monica hair salons.
So I went to my sister hair stylist and have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

When you move your family to a new city there are myriad thing the worry about and deal with. At first its more a matter of dealing with immediate issues, such as finding a place to live, making sure your furniture all fits through the door, finding the best place to buy groceries, getting phone lines and internet installed, etc. Then as life starts to come together in some form of new routine, you start dealing with the less immediate but still important issues, such as enrolling your kids in school, picking up menus from all the local take-out restaurants, and finding a new family doctor and a dentist.
Some of these tasks obviously involve more thought and research than others. Of course you want to send your children to the best school available in the area, and will spend a considerable amount of time asking neighbors about their experiences, reading reviews online, and perhaps even touring schools and meeting with potential teachers. You do all this because your child’s education is important to you and you want the very best for him or her.
However, few people put as much time and effort into finding the best doctors and dentists for their families as they do researching schools. And yet, your child’s physical and oral health are every bit as important to their future success as is their education.
Indeed, it isn’t a good idea to send your child to the first Winchester VA dentist or doctor you see listed in the phonebook with nothing else to go on. It is estimated that one in four medical and dental professionals will be sued for malpractice at some point in his or her career. Be careful about the choice of doctor and dentist, you don’t want that malpractice case to be yours. Take the time to research medical professionals just as you would schools; ask around, read reviews, and don’t be afraid to interview candidates until you feel confident you have found the right Winchester VA dentist and doctor for your family.

We are heading off to beautiful Southern California for a week on the beach with our family next month. We are actually staying in a condo 20 feet from the sand, I couldn’t be happier with the trip. I do worry a little about the amount of sun we will be receiving during this week stay, probably more than all the rest of the summer put together, I guess we ought to buy sunscreen in bulk to protect us against frying our white bodies in the sun.
We love being outside all day long, we love to take early morning walks before the tourist pour out of their hotels looking for a spot for the day. We love to run along the waters edge watching the sea crabs and seagulls looking for breakfast also. The beach has been washed clean in the night by the rising tide and it is fresh and new looking, I almost hate to mess it up with footprints. After a day of sand castles, reading, exploring, eating, nothing beats watching the sun set over the ocean. I love that we live in the West and get to watch the sun set over the water.
All kidding aside, I actually did find a site online that does sell bulk sunscreen, it is called Rocky Mountain Sunscreen and you can buy oxybenszone free, 30+ SPF clear up to 70+ SPF by the gallon! Now that is savings and protection.
Off we go to enjoy seven amazing days laying around doing not a whole lot, we will pack our bags and not forget our sunscreen, whether a gallon or just a couple of tubes, we will be prepared!
