Acupuncture in Baltimore is a healing art of China that can be traced back at least 2,500 years. The general theory of acupuncture is based on the premise that patterns of energy flow through the body for essential health. When there is a disruption in the energy flow, it is believed to be responsible for disease.
Acupuncture corrects the imbalances of energy flow at various pints close to the skin. These imbalances or energy blocks at various points can be released through applying pressure at the points (acupressure) or by using thin, solid, metallic needles to penetrate the skin and stimulate energy flow once again.
While the Chinese have used acupuncture for thousands of years, American or western medicine acknowledged it when President Richard Nixon visited China in 1972. Since that time, acupuncture and other eastern healing arts have been accepted as alternatives to medicine as we know it.
News reports from China showed people undergoing major surgery while being sedated through acupuncture. In the States, acupuncture has proven to be effective in adult post-operative and chemotherapy nausea and vomiting and post-operative dental pain. Acupuncture is also used to help stop addiction, stroke rehabilitation, headache, menstrual cramps, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and asthma. Special schools and institutes provide education and training as well as certifications for practitioners.
While acupuncture is an ancient art in the east, it is still fairly new in the States. Over the years, this particular healing art of acupuncture in Baltimore as well as other cities across the nation is well established across the nation as an alternative to western medicine.

If you are like me, it is always hard for me to know if I have selected the right health insurance. Every time I have had to make any changes or switch carriers because of my work, I get so confused. It seems like the paperwork that I am given to read over is in a different language and I never took an insurance language class in school. I do the best that I can and hope that I have selected the right premium for my needs, but I never really understand what will be covered and what won’t be.
At the website for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, they offer advisers who can help make sure that you get the best insurance for your needs. If you go to www.bcbs-advisers.com, you will be able to receive guidance from professionals in the insurance industry who know what they are talking about. Another thing I like is that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois offers the ability to compare their different insurance plans side by side. This way you are able to see for yourself which plan is set up the best to fit your lifestyle and needs. I know that health insurance is so important to have and it can make a huge difference in your life when an accident or health problem comes up. I just wish that more people knew about the services that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois offers so that they won’t have to spend any more days without insurance.

Using the email to market to your patients is a powerful tool that provides outstanding results. A savvy dentist knows the power of email because it’s immediate, inexpensive, measurable and easy to do. Let’s break it down:
• Immediate—email is an immediate method to get information out instead of waiting a few days for the mail to reach the patient. And because patient is permission-based for email, it is not spam.
• Inexpensive–email is a very affordable way to stretch your marketing budget. There’s no investment in printing mailers or post cards that can number in the hundreds or thousands. No more costly postage.
• Measurable—emails can be easily measured as to how many were sent, to whom, how many were opened and how many responded to the email. With mailers, there is no immediate way of actually knowing how effective the advertising message was and if it actually reached the patient or the circular file.
• Effective—email communications enables the dentist to communicate with patients in a proactive way rather than wait for a patient to call the office. The email can have special response links to get back to the dentist with a reply as to whether or not they are interested in a particular promotion.
• Easy to do—there are marketing companies that specialize in handling dental marketing services and an email campaign is an ideal project for such a firm.
Don’t try this yourself. Let the professional dental marketing services company do what they do while you tend to patients.

Cell phones are pretty expensive purchases. You pay a lot of money for something that is usually purchased every couple years anyway. If the phone isn’t broken by that point, it is certainly out of style and missing the latest technology. If you buy one through a cell phone company, you can usually get a large chunk of the price taken off if you sign up or renew a contract for a certain period of time. Most of the deals that I have seen recently require a two-year contract. After the contract, they may even offer you a mail-in rebate which can lower the price down even more. You just have to hope that the rebate goes through and your either aren’t denied or it gets lost in the mail.
So what other options do you have when it comes to buying cell phones? There are different companies that sell certain quad band cell phones on the internet. Most of the sites I have been to have the phones marked down to a pretty good selling price. All of this comes without any contracts, which is always nice I have found. I hate being tied down to a certain deal for that long. Who knows if I will want to switch carriers and with a contract, I will be paying large cancellation fees if I ever want to switch. If you are interested, you can go to www.catchalote.biz/catalog/379/2/Quad_Band_Cellular.html so see the different unlocked quad band cell phones they have to offer. These sale prices on these phones are incredible!

Selling a business is an emotional experience, especially if it’s a business that sprang from a creative idea, a passionate choice or a good opportunity. To own a business means the entrepreneur put some pounds of blood, sweat and tears into it and watched it grow and develop into a profit center or fail miserably. Either way, selling the business is emotional. If you want to sell, here are some pitfalls to avoid:
- Trying to sell the business without a broker. Big mistake, worst mistake. Get a professional broker who knows the market and can find buyers.
- Not knowing what your business is actually worth. Do your due diligence rather than guessing. Know your Fair Market Value—the highest price a buyer will pay and the lowest price you will accept.
- Not preparing the business for the sale. A business needs curb appeal just as a house would. If you own equipment, give it an overhaul or clean it for presentation. Appearance is everything. Get your legal matters in order for a clean bill of health.
- Not understanding the structure of the deal. Have the broker explain everything to you in detail and make sure you totally understand every aspect of the deal. Again, do your due diligence.
These are only a few pitfalls to avoid. Know that once you decide to sell your business, it can take longer than you wish or expect. Get your place in order physically, legally and approach it with a clear mental attitude. Then let your business broker in Utah do the rest.
