No Kill Pest Control

Posted by News Desk on 25th April 2009

If the pests on your property are small animals, such as rabbits, raccoons or mice, you may be looking for a more humane way to getting rid of them. In many states it is even illegal to eliminate pests by killing them, so you’ll need to find a no kill way to rid your property of these pests once and for all. What are some humane ways to control pests without hurting them? Here are a few suggestions for Orange County pest control.

In past years we’ve seen the development of ultrasonic pest control. This is a method of pest control that uses high pitched noises that cannot be heard by human ears but are very offensive to animal ears. Ultrasonic control comes in many different forms, the smallest of which is a small transmitter that plugs in.

Another way to control pests humanely is live traps. Live traps simply trap the animal and hold it until you can come and set it free far away from your home. Live traps may not be a solution if you have many pests, but can be great near your garden if you find that you have repeat offenders.

If you’re really serious about getting rid of pests humanely, contact a professional. An Orange County pest control expert can help you find ways to eliminate pests without killing.

QuickBooks and Dreamweaver Training in Chicago — A New Breed of Business Artist

Posted by News Desk on 24th April 2009

Computer and business skills go hand-in-hand these days: it’s not just bookkeepers or office managers who are taking QuickBooks courses. It’s entrepreneurs and home-business operators who might be freelance writers or graphic artists, and who are operating at both ends of the spectrum: as business heads and as creatives.

In a recent survey, the duality is becoming more evident by the number of seemingly unconnected classes being taken by the same students. For instance, both the QuickBooks course in Chicago and Dreamweaver training, also in Chicago are being signed up for (sometimes at the same time) by people functioning in two disparate roles. The QuickBooks training is necessary for properly managing the financial aspects of the business while Dreamweaver refresher courses help bring creative skills up to the level necessary to compete successfully in today’s high tech marketplace.

It’s sort of an amalgamation of the suits and surfboards. It’s the creation of a new persona: the hard-headed artist; the sensitive accountant. This speaks to a larger trend we see today: that of several career changes being the norm and no longer the lifelong career path enjoyed by previous generations, remaining in one company until the golden handshake. This diversity in skills and an ability to switch roles is absolutely necessary to financial survival and security in a technologically-advanced society.

Take Flash and Photoshop Classes In That Cybercity Called Chicago

Posted by News Desk on 23rd April 2009

In one year alone (that was 2006) Chicago secured over $5 billion in capital investment by attracting 165 corporate facility projects. That translated to 2,300 additional high-tech jobs for a total of over 164,000. Chicago is still at the top of the heap nationwide when it comes to having the most high-tech businesses and the wages are earned by the average tech worker are some 70 percent more than the money earned by private sector employees.

As one of the nation’s largest cybercities, with its generally skilled workforce and an increasing ability to attract venture funds by creating tax incentives and health care benefits for Chicagoland-based high-tech firms, the trend of growth in technology based industries is expected to continue. One of the spin-off trends noted is that employers and small to medium business owners are upgrading their own skills and those of their employees with regard to computer and business applications through ongoing training.

Increases are noted across the board from the number of students enrolling in Photoshop classes in Chicago to the same trend in Flash class Chicago enrollment. This effect of employee development is having a direct positive impact on the local economy through the employment of computer specialists as trainers in an ever-increasing number of classes offered. The businesses who train their staff recognize increases in productivity and customer service, while employee morale (long recognized to be important to turn-over and absenteeism issues) is also benefited. Bottom line? Yes, that too is improving right across the Cybercity.
